The band Gummo recorded their 4. Album "Every Summer They´re Droppin´ Like Flies" in the beginning of 2013 and when the production was finished, the band was gone too. To celebrate the release in February 2014 guitarist/singer Christian Nothaft asked some friends who are making music in the munich experimental/electronic underground to help out. and happily they did...
Each of the artists was asked to pick a track and to do with it whatever they wanted. Every track of the original album is represented here. Each piece is treated differently, from play reading over ambient over electro to automated deconstruction, for example; sometimes beyond recogition, but always original and inspired.
